Idemitsu Powers Thai Riders to Spectacular Home-Race Triumph at the Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2025 at Chang International Circuit

Idemitsu continues to strengthen its commitment to Thai riders and the national motorsport community, celebrating the outstanding performances delivered by Thai competitors at the final round of the Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2025. Held at Chang International Circuit, Buriram, the event showcased dominant results across multiple classes from riders supported by Idemitsu, igniting pride among Thai motorsport fans throughout the thrilling weekend.
In the premier Asia Superbike 1000cc (ASB1000) class, “Chip” Nakarin Atiratphuvapat demonstrated the exceptional capability of Thailand’s top riders. Piloting the Honda CBR1000RR-R, he launched from P3 and immediately surged into the lead, maintaining precise control and consistent pace throughout the race. With a flawless, lights-to-flag performance, Chip clinched a remarkable home-race victory and secured the overall runner-up title in his debut season in the premier class.
In the Supersports 600cc (SS600) category, rising star “Mix” Thanat Laoongplio delivered a masterful performance. Starting from P4, Mix carved his way through a fierce front group, showcasing sharp overtakes and exceptional race craft. In a dramatic final-lap battle, he stormed to the lead and crossed the finish line in first place, raising the Thai national flag high over the Chang International Circuit.
Meanwhile, “Hipeck” Kitsada Tanachot overcame a long-lap penalty with grit and determination, charging his way forward to secure a strong P6 finish. Teammate “Khao Klong” Jakkreephat Phuettisan also displayed significant growth, climbing from a P18 start to finish ninth, reinforcing the promising potential of Thailand’s next-generation riders.

In the Asia Production 250 (AP250) class, Thailand’s two wildcard entrants delivered equally inspiring performances. “Oum” Noprutpong Bunprawes, riding the Honda CBR250RR No. 20, started from P5 and engaged in a relentless chase, consistently closing the gap to the leaders. In a dramatic final-corner showdown, he surged forward to secure P2—earning another home-race podium for Thailand in spectacular fashion.

Teammate “Fer” Panjaruj Jitwirunchat, aboard bike No. 12, launched from P21 and mounted an impressive charge through an international-level grid. With confident overtakes and strong pace, he climbed into the lead group and ultimately claimed a remarkable P5, underscoring his rapid development and competitive potential.

The collective achievements of these Thai riders highlight the strength of Thailand’s racing talent and reinforce Idemitsu’s dedication to advancing the nation’s motorsport landscape.
